5 Stages of Studying

1. Procrastination

Anything other than studying seems important at this point. Watching another episode of your favorite tv show, organizing your closet, even cleaning your room seems appealing.

2. Opening your books

You’ve finally convinced yourself that it is time to study. Now you just have to open your books and start. It’s a daunting task and it may take you a bit of time, but finally 30 minutes later you’ve opened your books and are ready to start.

3. The first 15 minutes

The first 15 minutes are the worst. Every. Single. Thing. seems to distract you. You almost convince yourself to give up, but somehow you keep going.

4. Actual study time

You’re into the groove and hours are flying by as you zip through the material you need to study! Some of it is making sense while some of it make need a little extra study time, but that’s no problem because you’re in the zone!

5. Afterwards

It’s a while later and you’ve finished studying; you’re feeling confident and ready for your exam! You’re so glad you finally buckled down and studied!

Whatever stage of studying you’re in push through! We all know it can be difficult to start studying, however, you won’t regret spending that extra time reviewing and preparing for your exams. It will pay off!
