Summer is great- you get to go on vacation, earn some money at a summer job, hangout with friends from home, and, if nothing else, you get a break from your full course load of classes. However, at some point during the first few weeks of classes, the summer heat starts to get to you and you start yearning for Fall. Now, four weeks into classes, I think we can all agree we’re at least a little bit ready for Fall.
There are at least 5 reasons we are all ready for some cooler weather and all the other wonderful things that come with the changing of the seasons.

We are all tired of walking into class sweaty, whether you walk 5 minutes or 15 minutes to class you know what I mean. The second you step into this humid North Carolina air, you just know you’ll be dripping by the time you get to class. I think we can all agree it’s kind of gross and we’re ready for some cooler weather.

We are ready to bring out and update our fall wardrobe. Whether you are really into fashion or could not care less, cleaning out your wardrobe and getting ready for a new season is a great way to get organized and feel refreshed.

The beginning of Fall means we are one step closer fall break, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Yes they’re still a few weeks or months away, but we are definitely closer to those much needed breaks. That’s at least something to keep in mind and look forward to on those days that never seem to end when all of your assignments are piling up.

Fall might be the best season for food. I’m not much of a cook or baker, but when Fall comes around I always at least get the urge to make something Fall related. My favorites are anything pumpkin related especially pie, cupcakes, and muffins. Of course you can make these items anytime of year, but they are most popular in the Fall.

The leaves will start to change color and the campus will be (even more) beautiful.
Obviously there is a lot to look forward to when Fall comes around! However, we still have at least a few weeks left of this North Carolina summer so soak it up while you can because there will be a chill in the air before you know it (we all know NC tends to transition from one season to another overnight). Enjoy these last few weeks of summer and look forward to all Fall has to offer!
