What to Expect from the Jack Rogers Rebrand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCC chapter.

I got my first pair of Jack Rogers when I was in high school and desperately needed a pair of sandals that could be dressed up for my cousin’s ~oh so elegant~ outdoor wedding. Jack Rogers were the perfect shoe for this event, considering their comfort and reputation of stylish designs. These shoes not only withstood a long evening of celebrating, but even today they still look brand new! I must admit, one of the reasons for my shoes’ nearly perfect condition is that I haven’t had many occasions to wear them. The sandal I have is sliver and has a slight heel. This is a dressier sandal which has a specific kind of occasion associated with it. Luckily, the rebranding of Jack Rogers completely shifts the focus of the shoes from a dressier sandal, to playful and casual shoes!

This week, myself and Emily Griffin, one of the other executives of Her Campus, were invited to see these new sandals in person at the Jack Rogers launch party at South Park mall. At first, I was skeptical of the event because of my generally laid back, if not edgy style. When I arrived (wearing overalls and a crop top no less) I was pleasantly surprised at the shoes on display! I found that many of the shoes might have even went well with my outfit, as well as the (possibly more appropriate and upscale) outfits of those around me. As a person who reserves spending money for high quality, adaptable products, I give Jack Rogers sincere credit for their new designs and branding. They have a great selection of colors, designs, and styles that could be mixed and matched to fit nearly every occasion imaginable! I was even shown several pairs of waterproof sandals- perfect for looking stylish while walking on the beach!

During the event, I asked one of the company’s representatives to tell me about the rebrand and its objectives, and I was given a candid testimonial regarding the company’s goals and values. I was told Jack Rogers shares many of the same passions as Her Campus, including sisterhood, fun, and empowering women. The event itself was thoroughly planned and well executed ~I mean come on look at that gorgeous flower wall they set up~ which says a lot about the commitment that Jack Rogers has to meeting the needs and expectations of its consumers.

Ultimately, I think this rebranding was a success for the company. It demonstrates a progression toward more casual and adaptable styles that meet the needs of today’s modern women!
