Picture this: it’s 3 a.m.. You are up late cramming for your chem exam tomorrow. It’s not until your stomach grumbles that you realize you have been staring at your laptop screen for five hours straight. Sluggishly, you get up from your desk and dig through the hidden stash of snacks in your room, only to find that you’ve already eaten the majority of them and there is nothing left but old trail mix. Sounds tragic, huh? Well, never fear! This list of snacks was created by yours truly, and they are essential to keep in your room.

Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop.

Nobody likes the smell of burnt popcorn, so instead of buying microwave popcorn, why not buy a ready-to-eat bag of it? I couldn’t live without Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop. It’s a delicious snack that you can enjoy whether you are studying or watching your favorite Netflix show. Grab a bag of it at the grocery store, or order an entire case of it here. 

Apples and peanut butter.

This is definitely one of my go-to snacks that you can never go wrong with. You’re eating your fruits AND getting some protein as well! It’s a win-win.

Made Good Granola Minis.

Cereal.

I can proudly say that I have a ginormous stash of cereal in my dorm, and I’m not the slightest bit embarrassed by it. Sometimes I find myself not having enough time to walk to the dining hall and back, so I just grab a bowl of cereal and continue working. It’s an easy meal you can enjoy for breakfast, lunch or even dinner.

Harvest Snaps Organic Green Pea Snack Crisps.

Who doesn’t love a salty treat? These vegan-friendly snack crisps are the perfect healthy snack when you are craving some crunch. Order some here, you’ll thank me later. 

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream.

This is the best treat for when you’re craving something sweet in the middle of the night. Ben and Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream has never let me down. I can never resist the gooey fudge brownies and chocolate chip cookie dough gobs. What’s not to love?

Although this semester is not exactly how we wanted it, we might as well enjoy some good snacks along the way. I know what it feels like to be disappointed at not having snacks on hand, so hopefully you’ve found at least one treat here that you want to pick up the next time you are at the grocery store.

Brylee is currently a freshman at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and is a pre-nursing major. She loves to travel, shop, and spend time with her family and friends. In her free time, you can typically find Brylee playing with makeup, painting, or watching TVD on Netflix.
