College Scholarship Day at Keeneland is Friday in the North Terrace! Gates open at 11 a.m., live racing post time starts at 1:15 p.m. Admission to Keeneland is free with your Student ID.

College Scholarship Day at Keeneland gives students the opportunity to win one $1,000 scholarship. ?Typically 10 scholarships are given out during each College Scholarship Day, however since this season marks Keeneland’s 75th Anniversary, they are increasing the number of scholarships to 20!

Another new addition to this season’s CSD is that Victoria’s Secret PINK UK representatives will be in the North Terrace and will have cool giveaways and UK PINK swag students can enter a raffle to win.

“We have raffle prizes valued at over $350 that are up for grabs and are filled with some pretty awesome University of Kentucky PINK clothes that range from UK shorts and yoga pants to Wildcat t-shirts and crew necks. The best part of the prizes is they come in a super cute UK PINK tote bag that girls can sport on campus and show some UK spirit,” said Tara Dauer, a PINK UK campus representative.

Students can enter their name into the raffle or scholarship drawing in the North Terrace. The first 1,000 students to enter will receive a free CSD t-shirt.

In addition to needing your student ID to receive free general admission on Friday, students will need their ID to enter into the drawing and receive their scholarship if selected.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be given away at the end of each race, and students must be present at Keeneland during the race they are selected in order to win.

Typically students dress up for live racing at Keeneland. For girls, seasonal dresses or skirts with heals (please, no Derby hats!). Guys usually show up wearing khakis and a button up with a tie.

Over 40 other prizes will be given away from vendors like Vineyard Vines and Breeder’s Cup and live music, free Qdoba and Coke products will be available for students in the North Terrace for this event.
