Growing up, I loved to read. However, when I reached high school and was forced to read books I had zero interest in, my love for reading started to disappear. Thankfully, once I reached college, I rediscovered my love for books. Reading has been a great distraction in these crazy times we’re living in and my plan is to finish at least three more books before this year is over.

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

“Eat, Pray, Love” is a memoir about Elizabeth Gilbert’s trip around the world following her difficult divorce from her husband. Gilbert traveled to Italy, Indonesia and India and discovered something new about herself in each country. This book tells an amazing story of self-discovery and features many interesting characters Gilbert met along the way.

What Remains  by Carole Radziwill

“What Remains” is definitely the saddest of these three books, but it is brilliantly written. Carole Radziwill is a journalist and author and her memoir tells the story of a difficult time in her life. In the summer, Radziwill lost her husband Anthony Radziwill to cancer, and their best friends John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette. Radziwill discusses her career as a journalist at ABC News and how she fell in love with and married a prince, becoming a member of the Radziwill/Kennedy family.

Act Like A Lady by Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek

“Act Like A Lady” is a collection of honest essays about the lives of the LadyGang (Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek). They are hosts of a popular podcast called “Ladygang,” but you don’t have to be a podcast listener to enjoy this book. The ladies give their insight on topics such as dating, body image, career and more through essays on their lives and trust me, they do not hold back. Keltie, Becca and Jac are brutally honest as they tell the stories of their lives, which is what makes this book so good.

I hope you enjoy these books as much as I did. Happy reading!
