Podcast Review: “My Favorite Murder”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UK chapter.

I recently have gotten into listening to podcasts. I became tired of listening to the same playlists on repeat and I could not find any new music to really get into.

I was searching through podcasts on Spotify when I remembered a friend mentioning “My Favorite Murder” to me a while back.

I decided to give it a listen and I was not disappointed. It is an older podcast that started back in 2016, however they are still making new episodes regularly.

The hosts are Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark. While they go through different murders that they have labeled as their “favorites” they also add in a good portion of comedy.

Some of these murders include the classics such as Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy. Many of the murders are ones that are not as well known.

As someone that grew up watching Investigation Discovery everyday and reading through the Wikipedia pages of famous murderers, this podcast quickly became my favorite.

I have been listening to this podcast everyday for a week now. I do not recommend listening to it when you are driving at night by yourself, but I still do it.

I hope you all give this podcast a listen!
