Maybe first semester did not go as well as you hoped. Now you are worried about getting your GPA back up and your life back on track. Spring semester is a great time to start over and reorganize everything. I know for me I have to have everything in my life written down to stay on track so here are some tips to help you have the greatest semester ever.

Buy a planner (preferably a cute one)

Having a planner will help you to stay organized. You can write down all your due dates and major assignments. I like to color code my planner. I use a different color for each class and then different ones for extra curricular. This helps me to put my week into perspective and cut down on the feeling of being overwhelmed. A pretty planner will also make you want to plan out your semester. The bookstore, amazon, target all have really cute planners for a reasonable price.

Read the textbook

I know you have probably heard this all too often, but reading the textbook really does help. The textbook can help to clarify information that you did not understand in class. If you went out and bought the book you do not want to waste your money by letting it collect dust in the corner of your room.

Introduce yourself to your professor

This will come in handy, especially in classes for your major. You want your professors to know you in case you need letters of recommendation, or anything really. Professors really appreciate you taking the time out to introduce yourself.  Building these relationships on campus are really important.

Study a little every night

I know your professor says this, but it really does help. Studying a little each night helps you avoid cramming. When you study every night you can go back before the test and it will be a review of information instead of relearning everything.

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE

This one speaks for itself. Procrastinating will hurt you in the end. It is better to just get the work done. Waiting to the last minute will STRESS you out. I repeat DO NOT DO IT.
