Is there any world Robyn Rihanna Fenty can conquer and people won’t follow?

From beauty, fashion, philanthropy and now social justice, Ms. Fenty has stepped up against the NFL and has some huge celebrities following her lead. In wake of news of Maroon 5 possibly being named the headliners for the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show, many people were confused with this choice. The Super Bowl location defines the theme and overall mood for one of the biggest events of the year, many Atlanta natives and people in pop culture spoke out about their disagreement with Maroon 5 being chosen.

In recent weeks reports broke that Rihanna was the first pick for being the halftime performer. However, to stand with her friend, Colin Kaepernick, in his choice for speaking out against the NFL and kneeling during the national anthem, she decided to turn down the offer.

Following that report, it was also confirmed by Entertainment Tonight that Pink followed her lead and denied an offer to play the halftime stage. However, offers haven’t just been turned down by musicians.

Comedian Amy Schumer agreed to turn down all offers for advertising for the Super Bowl, stating on her Instagram, “I know it must sound like a privilege a** sacrifice but it’s all I got. Hitting the NFL with the advertisers is the only way to really hurt them.” While there are still four months until the anticipated Super Bowl, there are still many more developments that may be coming for more celebrities to speak out. So who’s next?
