Coffee shops are hands down one of the best places to get things done. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing to both the eye and mind, they smell good, are bright, cheery and something about them fosters a productive work environment. Nothing is better than venturing to your favorite coffee shop, ordering a drink, sitting down and getting to work on whatever task you need.

My favorite coffee shop in my hometown is Sir Walter Coffee. It’s located in Downtown Raleigh, NC and has such a great air around it. The staff are nice and friendly. When they strike up a conversation, they always make sure you feel welcomed. The space is also so open. An entire wall is covered in glass that gives customers a nice street view and when it’s sunny, the inside of the shop lights up beautifully.

Another thing that is great about this place is their music. They have a great selection of songs that come from virtually any genre. One day they might play R&B and soul music and the next they are playing soft rock. It’s always fun to see what music they decide to have on. But what is a coffee shop review without the most important tidbit…how good is their coffee?

Out of ten, I would give Sir Walter Coffee an 8/10. They have a lot of different options on their menu. They have a wide range of beverages: coffee, tea, lemonade, kombucha, charcoal drinks, bubble tea, smoothies, you name it and they probably have some variation of it. My favorite drinks to order are their Iced Vanilla Latte with oat milk (kinda basic but amazing!), their Vietnamese Iced Coffee and their Heart and Honey tea. These are my top three drinks and they never disappoint me.

If you are ever in Raleigh, NC, Sir Walter Coffee is a place you must visit!!
