4 Free Apps to Help You Step Up Your Instagram Game

Instagram is one of the biggest social media platforms in the world. Like any other social media, Instagram can be toxic sometimes. Many people obsess over the way they are perceived online and focus on the number of likes and followers they receive. Personally, I think it’s fun to take photos for Instagram and perfect the “flow” of my feed. I love finding new apps for editing Instagram photos and creating cool Instagram stories.

1. Adobe Lightroom

Lightroom is a software that you have to pay for on your computer but the app version of the software is free. It might be a little confusing at first as it’s more complicated than your average photo editing app but all of those confusing features really allow you to change the entire look of your photo. You can save your favorite edits and reuse them by creating presets. If you’re not looking to create your own you can buy some. Chances are your favorite people to follow on Instagram have their own presets for sale which you can purchase and use in the Lightroom app to make your flow look like theirs.

2. UNUM

UNUM allows you to see how different photos will look on your Instagram feed before you actually post them. I don’t like posting two photos that look too similar to one another back-to-back because I feel like it messes up the flow. Two selfies or two group photos right next to each other won’t work for me, which is why I use UNUM every time I post on Instagram.

3.  Instories

The story feature is my favorite on Instagram and Instories is one of the best apps for creating stories. On Instories, you can create animated video stories using their many templates. I always wondered how my favorite influencers posted cool animated stories on Instagram every day and I finally know how they do it, they use Instories.

4. Picsart

YouTuber, Emma Topp, is one of my top five favorite people to follow on Instagram because she is always posting original content. She uses Picsart to draw on her photos, adding different colors, patterns, and textures which set her posts apart. Picsart is super user-friendly so anyone can use it to edit their photos.

These are four of my favorite apps to use for Instagram which I feel are essential for anyone who loves curating their Instagram feed. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, happy editing!
