2019 Bucket List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UK chapter.

We are a little over a week into the new year, and you may feel like nothing’s changed (besides crossing off 18 and replacing it with 19 when writing the date). If the “new year, new me” goal isn’t for you, there’s another way to make the most of this year.

Here is a bucket list of 30 things to do by the end of 2019; some can be easily checked off, others require special planning. Regardless, they are all super fun and affordable so that you can make 2019 one of the best years yet.

1. Start journaling

2. Eat at a trendy restaurant

3. Volunteer at a local shelter

4. Go for an early morning stroll

5. Give up a bad habit

6. Go on a long hike

7. Have a photoshoot in your favorite outfit

8. Show random acts of kindness to strangers

9. Start a blog

10. Start a new hobby

11. Audition for a reality tv show

12. Discover a new artist

13. Learn about another culture

14. Take a road trip with your best friends

15. Crash a wedding

16. Do goat yoga

17. Cook or bake a new recipe

18. Read a book

19. Host a watch party for your favorite tv show

20. Visit a national park

21. Go through old family photo albums/videos

22. Go to an animal shelter

23. Go water skiing

24. Learn about your family’s history

25. Learn about the history of your town/city

26. Go to a museum

27. Recreate a Bob Ross painting

28. Buy flowers for someone you love

29. Create a memory box to open at the end of the year

30. Do something out of your comfort zone

Regardless of whether you complete one or all thirty of these, do something this year that makes you happy. Be open to new challenges and experiences, and find pleasure in simple things. Wishing you a great year with great new adventures!
