I’ve complied a list of restaurants that one must go to while they live in Lexington. Because who doesn’t love trying out fun new places?
1. Josie’s
THE spot for breakfast, located in Chevy Chase, Josie’s is the one of the best. Known for their delicious food, there is usually a long wait on the weekends, so make sure you get there early, oh and try the French toast too!
2. Coles
A good place to go when it is nice outside. The food is amazing and different, you won’t be let down.
3. Athenian Grill
If you’re looking for authentic Greek/Mediterranean food, this is the place for you.
4. Lexington Diner
Located in downtown, just a short time from campus, my roommate raves that the waffles here are the “best I’ve ever had!”
5. Burger Shake
Hole-in-the-wall diner that might be Lexington’s best kept secret. If you want to eat a good old school burger that is less than two dollars, which might also be the best burger you have ever eaten, you need to try this place asap.
6. Goodfellas Pizza
If you like pizza, trust me when I say they have some of the best pizza you can get in Lexington and they sell by the slice!!
7.Vinaigrette
This is for you healthy people. Kind of like Qdoba but for salads, and so so good.
8. HopCat
100+ beers on tap is just a reason in itself, but even if you’re not 21 you should try this place. Food Network ranked their “crack fries” among the best ten places to get fries in America, so if that doesn’t make you want to go there then I don’t know what will. Also be prepared, their burgers are ridiculous.
9. Alfalfa
I’ve never been, but I’ve heard nothing but great things from this cute little restaurant. They use all local ingredients which makes things taste even better!
10. Dad’s Favorites
Very unique and known for their friendly service. Go for the sandwiches, stay for an experience.
Make sure to try these places before you leave Lexington!
