Meet the Teams

This year, the two teams playing for the Vince Lombardi are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. Tampa Bay qualified for the Super Bowl after defeating the Green Bay Packers 31-26 in the NFC Divisional Championship. Meanwhile, Kansas City defeated the Buffalo Bills 38-24 in the AFC Divisional Championship.

Key Players

Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City, Quarterback): If you don’t know the name, learn it now because chances are you’ll see Mahomes in future Super Bowls. As the Chiefs’ quarterback, Mahomes is the leader of the team and the player who will have the most weight to carry. At the age of 25, Mahomes is already a Super Bowl champion (2019), Super Bowl MVP, and League MVP (2018). He’s been phenomenal since the start of his NFL career, and there’s no doubt we’ll see some Mahomes’s magic in the Super Bowl.

Tom Brady (Tampa Bay, Quarterback): At the age of 43, Tom Brady will be the oldest player to start in a Super Bowl. This will be his tenth time playing in a Super Bowl. Yes, ten! He’s already won the most Super Bowls than any other player in NFL history, with 6 rings. At this point, Brady doesn’t have much left to prove, but a win over Mahomes and the Chiefs would probably cement him as the G.O.A.T.

Tyreek Hill (Kansas City, Wide Receiver): Nicknamed “Cheetah,” Hill is one of the best receivers in the game and one of the fastest. His speed is his biggest strength, and he is sure to be a matchup nightmare for the Buccaneers.

Travis Kelce (Kansas City, Tide End): Kelse is arguably the best tide end in the NFL right now. He and Mahomes have been a dynamic duo since paired, and rest assured they will wreak havoc on Sunday.

Mike Evans (Tampa Bay, Wide Receiver): Evans and Brady have developed a great relationship this season, and Evans seems to be Brady’s favorite target. Evans has 70 receptions and 13 touchdowns this season and will be a key player for Tampa.

Head Coaches

Bruce Arians is Tampa Bay’s head coach. He became the head coach in 2019 but has had a long career in the NFL. This will be his first Super Bowl Appearance, and Arians will be the second oldest to coach in a Super Bowl.

Andy Reid is the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. He began coaching the Chiefs in 2013 and has one Super Bowl win with the team.
