Stitched together

Push and pull

I am still trapped in this prism

It shows me the wrong direction

Imagined words

Lingering thoughts

Occasional me

The constant me

The surface is the whole

The whole is not half full

It does not give me space

I take it in all at once

I get lost

Going the opposite way

I hope it finds me

But I end up trying to find myself again

I seek liberty

The uncontrolled frenzy of emotions

The open field

The quiet essence of a flower’s scent

Leave your bed unmade

Forget what you remembered when you forgot

Tell yourself something new

No one has a consciousness

Speak as if you’re high

Sound crazy

Don’t let them understand

Keep what’s yours

Do you mind your own business

Do they mind their own business

What’s the business

Be an entrepreneur

Become a hobo

Live in the free streets

Leave them alone and you’ll be alone

The world is yours

Try to create a sound

Send a wave to have it come back

See where it goes

Did it come back?

The world is a sensation

Dirt, water, wind, light, color

Frantic, always wanting to know

Color it in

I try to live in it

I have to build it myself

Instructions lead me array

I fall in love with it still

Making the same mistake

The solution to my problem

I am trapped but I try to stay

It’s the only thing I know
