Single Ladies: 4 Things To Do On Valentine’s Day!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

Collegiettes, February is here and that means Valentine’s Day, a.k.a. Single Awareness Day, is right around the corner! If you don’t have a Valentine this year, don’t fret, there are plenty of fishes in the sea and who says you can’t have a blast without a partner?

1. Catch up on episodes of The Bachelor on ABC or watch some Nicholas Sparks on Netflix

Because who needs love? Alright, I take that back. Ee do need love sometimes. But, collegiettes, the point is we are independent and fearless! Who run the world?! Girls.

2. Treat yourself to delicious chocolates

Did you know dark chocolate is healthy for you, so there is no excuse why you shouldn’t be digging in? It helps lower your blood pressure, increases blood flow, protects your skin from the sun, stimulates your brain, releases stress, and it’s great for your heart! So, what are you waiting for?

3. Galentine’s Extravaganza

Ladies, I am sure you are not the only one who is single this year. So, call up a bunch of your girlfriends. Make plans for a slumber party or a girl’s night out. It will be a perfect get-together, catch up on one another’s busy lives, and it will be fun – I promise!

4. Go to a bar for singles

Last but not least, the cutie inside the bar you have been making eye contact with is definitely single. So, it’s time to go mingle, have a drink or two, and enjoy the night!

You’re welcome, ladies! Good luck, let us know what your plans are, and have a fantastic Valentine’s Day!
