HerCampus UIC girls got an exclusive invite to join design director Andrea Sanderlin and guests for the Ruff Hewn Fall/Winter Showcase just minutes away from UIC’s very own campus!
Ruff Hewn is a collection sold exclusively at Caron’s Stores. This past Wednesday they had a great presentation at Solo Salon that showcased the great collection displayed by the models throughout the night. We were served hors d’oeuvres and champagne throughout the event and also received dry hair styling and a manicure! They also surprised us with yummy cupcakes and goodie bags of some Ruff Hewn Winter pieces.
The Ruff Hewn event was a success and we were so glad they were able to have us. Not only did we get to view the upcoming collection, but the event was also a great networking opportunity. Nowadays just receiving a degree is not enough. It’s important to create a brand for yourself and meet the right people in industries you are interested in having a career in. We were able to meet design director Andrea Sanderlin and manager of Lividini & Co. Lola Mendez, as well as other individuals in the Fashion and Marketing industry.
