In April 2020, I cut my relaxed ends and became natural, and ever since then, my hair’s been flourishing. I use safe hair care products to promote growth and prevent breakage. But most importantly, I’ve been using organic products from my kitchen. Here are some of the best organic products to help you on your hair journey.

  1. Shea Butter- the anti-inflammatory properties within Shea butter prevents breakage, promotes thick hair growth, and conditions the scalp. I mix oils with Shea butter to moisturize my hair. Shea butter runs between $3-$20.

  2. Coconut Oil- moisturizes the scalp and prevents breakage. Coconut oil also prevents split ends. Almost every single hair product contains coconut oil! It is only $5-$20.

  3. Jojoba Oil- prevents hair loss and promotes hair growth, just like coconut oil. It provides vitamins and minerals that can strengthen hair. Jojoba oil runs from $1-$10.

  4. Aloe Vera- helps with hair growth and retention. It thickens hair strands and is used in a deep condition routine. Aloe Vera plants are super affordable at the grocery stores.

  5. Avocados- they offer biotin that allows healthy hair growth. I used an avocado on my hair, and it made my hair shiny and smooth!

  6. Honey- can restore moisture in your hair allowing hairstyles to last longer. You can purchase honey at Dollar Tree, or almost any grocery store.
