This book, written by John Boyne, is one I highly recommend. It is a truly inspiring and beautiful novel based on a fictional story during the Holocaust era. If you are interested in learning about the amount of strength a bonded friendship has, this book is for you. A Jewish boy being held captive in a concentration camp befriends the son of a Nazi soldier. Both boys build a remarkable bond despite what Bruno’s father believes in. The ending will leave you speechless and will make you wonder about your personal friendships. I have never read such an impactful book.
