As night befallen,

And with nowhere to sleep,

The moons rise to shatter,

Into pieces to reap.

The earth gathers the pieces

And scatters them throughout,

As the darkness catches them

And covers them in doubt

The darkness storms in,

The windows bust open with fear.

The children shiver in bed

And now the monsters look clear.

The monsters roar with rage.

Their hands reach for the children.

They grasp and feel around

But the bed is not filled in.

The child runs down the hall,

And the wind cackles behind.

The mother wakes up and checks

But the child is nowhere to find.

The monsters have got him now.

The darkness hides come the morn,

The earth turns once again,

The moon now returns back home.
