JFK
A New Orleans District Attorney investigates into the conspiracy behind Kennedy’s assassination and finds out many things that are stranger than fiction.
JFK is inspired by a true story where a DA from New Orleans calls a prominent businessman to court, claiming that he was part of a conspiracy plot to kill the president that involved CIA, Cuban nationalists, the mafia, top military officials, and possibly a president. Obviously, this movie covers a ton of stuff that you do not know where to begin and where to connect the dots. Because of the content, the film is very long, clocking in at a little over three hours. For me, while I was watching this movie, I was absorbed the by film so much that I did not notice how much had passed. The many kinds of issues and questions that are raised in the film are intriguing and eye-opening, allowing the viewer to be a part of a very large conspiracy behind one of the most tragic events in American history.
Do not let the conspiracy or craziness of the stories as they unfold turn you away from this movie. The writer and director spent a lot of time researching the information. I could not even imagine how much time was put into writing the script for this movie, let alone trying to create an enthralling film around the assassination. JFK does have many political elements and lots of information is thrown at you, but this is one crazy, fantastic film.
Devil
A group of people are stuck on an elevator while the police try to help them get out. However, as strange things start to happen, they try to figure out the person who is performing the strange events and put a stop to it.
Devil is a thriller film. That is basically as simple of an explanation as anyone could get. But this movie is still really entertaining, putting the viewers over their seat trying to figure out what is going on and why bizarre things are happening to these people. The movie is fast-paced and gives off the essence that many other thrillers give these days, but it succeeds in a way to be an enjoying experience. There are no cheap tricks and it does not feel like just another movie about a crazy killer. Devil serves its purpose by providing around ninety minutes of thrilling entertainment.
The Bank Job
A man, who gets an offer he cannot refuse, assembles a team of small-time crooks and pulls off one of the largest bank robberies in London. But little does the crew know, the things they stole from the safety deposit boxes just made the wrong kind of people mad.
Speaking of conspiracies, this movie is inspired by one. It’s based on the The Baker Street Robbery, a robbery on the safety deposit boxes from a bank in London. What’s incredible is how much of an affect this robbery has on the people who have belongings in those boxes. The government, the mafia, judges, cops, brothels, and even the British Royal line are all mad and willing to do whatever the cost to have those belongings back. Obviously, this becomes a problem for the bank robbers as they try to figure out what in the world is going on and how they can get out of this mess of a situation.
The movie is great fun and very exciting. The Bank Job is well-written and well-played out, giving a feeling of craziness and great wtf moments. While the movie may be a whole lot of fiction, it might be closer to the truth than we know it. The movie will show you a great time and unlike the big time groups and people in the movie, you will not feel robbed from it.
