Your skin has survived the windy city’s harsh winter. Now that the weather is warming up it’s time to show some skin; some soft skin!

Here’s how:

1. Exfoliate
Over time, dead skin cells accumulate, leaving your skin feeling dry and rough. When you exfoliate you are removing dead skin cells, oil, and dirt. An excellent way to exfoliate your body is to first soak it in warm water. Next, you scrub with a loofah, exfoliating shower gloves, or a pumice stone. For best results, use a vitamin based scrub with whichever object you choose to exfoliate with. If you have sensitive skin, be sure to only exfoliate once every two weeks because your skin may become dry.

2. Moisturize
After exfoliating, the next step is to apply moisturizer to freshly scrubbed skin. This hydrates your skin and locks in moisture, preventing dryness. Be sure to pay attention to the labels. You need to use different moisturizers for different parts of your body. Your face is the most sensitive area; therefore you must carefully choose the right moisturizer.

3. Regimen
Now you know how to achieve soft skin, but the trick is to keep it soft. It is going to be a trial and error until you find a routine that works best for your type of skin. Consistency is key!
