Although that winter season sadness is starting to kick in, do not let it stop you from having fun! Even if there may be less to do in the winter time, perhaps these activities will suffice this holiday season for you and your friends.

Go Ice Skating at Richard Daley Park

The ice skating rink at Richard Daley Park is super- duper pretty in the winter time. Plus, for $15 dollars, you can rent some ice skates. Sometimes the lines can get long though, so make sure to go earlier in the day if you don’t want a super long wait period. I would recommend going right when it opens. Grab some friends and go skating!

Have a Photo Shoot With the Christmas Lights in Rosemont

On those days where it is lightly snowing, that is the perfect time for some winter insta-pics. Go see the lights in Rosemont for a cute photo shoot with your friends, you won’t regret it!

Go to the Christkindlmarket

The Christkindlmarket is a super cute place to get some hot cocoa with your friends. The place looks like a little winter wonderland. The food and drinks there are based on the foods and drinks enjoyed in Germany, so it is cool to try something new!

Watch the Fireworks on New Years at Navy Pier

Although this is for after Christmas, seeing the fireworks on New Years would be the perfect way to start your year off with a BANG! Go with a couple of friends and have a good time! Plus side, this event is free!
