Drugstore Makeup Products Every Girl Should Have

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

As much as we would all love to own everything MAC and Kat Von D, sometimes for a broke college girl, it’s not realistic.

Being on a budget I’ve found some amazing, quality products at Target for cheap! These are just a few products I think every girl should have in their makeup bag:

1. Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner$5.99

This product is what I live for. Everything about this eyeliner amazes me. The bold, dark black color stays all day without fading (hence the name ColorStay), the brush is soft, smooth, skinny, and durable. This is one of those products that you wonder why it’s only $6 and not $60!

2. Revlon ColorStay Foundation$9.99

I’ve never had acne, dark spots, discoloration, or anything that would typically cause someone to use foundation. After trying this product though, I wonder why I ever thought not wearing foundation was a good idea! It’s lightweight and gives a beautiful, smooth touch.

3. Maybelline FIT ME Foundation Stick$6.99

Contour! This is the BEST drugstore product around for that perfect contoured look!

4.  EYELURE Eyelashes (2 pair pack of 080)$7.99

These eyelashes are my super power. They look SO natural, people always compliment my eyelashes on how long and beautiful they are. They are extremely lightweight and reusable. I can usually get my lashes to last me for about 1 week of everyday wear per pair.

5. Maybelline The Nudes & The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow$9.99 each

These eyeshadow palletes may not be Urban Decay’s NAKED but they are close enough! I love everything about the two palletes. They have base colors, and then every color in between to give you the perfect shade.

6. e.l.f. brushes, $1-$3

i. Small Stipple Brush ($3) – Perfect for contouring and blending your foundation

ii. Blending Eye Brush ($1) – This brush will blend your eyeshadow so well, it will look like you have a naturally pink (or whatever color!) eyelid!

iii. Small Angled Brush ($3) – Girl…this brush has saved my eyebrows. I would not have such a killer arch if it wasn’t for this bad boy. 100000/10 would recommend!!

I am not by any means a makeup expert; these are all just personal opinions of my favorite products.

These products are some of my absolute favorites and I hope they work out for you as well!
