On Thursday March 3rd, the Chicago Fashion Foundation supported Chicago’s emerging designers with their Scholarship Event held at the Chicago History Museum and hosted by Project Runway’s Peach Carr. Nine students from the School of the Art Institute, the International Academy of Design, and Columbia showcased their designs inspired by Chicago’s music scene. This year’s winner, Ana Leon, received a scholarship of $5,000 to help support her talents. Two smaller scholarships were also awarded to second and third place runners up. The judges included local designer Lara Miller, modecollective’s Amanda Monteiro, Candace Jordan of Candid Candice, and Catie Keough, host of NBC 24/7.

It was a fashionably fun night beginning with a silent auction, cocktails and treats, and mingling with Chicago’s fashion lovers that led up to an exciting display of upcoming talent. After the fashion show and awards, everyone was invited to attend the after party held at The Underground.
The event was a great success, allowing fellow fashion lovers to come together and support the future of fashion!
