Bless Up with 7 of DJ Khaled’s Major Keys

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

A few months ago you couldn’t make a move without hearing about DJ Khaled’s Snapchat. Funny things like his Jet Ski journeys and Chef Dee’s amazing cooking made a lot of people watch. But what kept people around? Khaled’s keys to success! Here are 7 of his major ones.

1.  Water

Drinking water naturally gives you energy, helps your kidneys, circulates nutrients, and even keeps your skin beautiful and glowing. Be like Khaled and drink it with every meal.

2. Cocoa Butter

“Stop livin’ rough”, you gotta moisturize. But don’t just use lotion, use cocoa butter. Just like water, cocoa butter is all natural. Cocoa butter is soothing, heals dry or scarred skin, and contains vitamin E and antioxidants, which are also good for your skin.

3. Don’t Listen to “They”

Although “they” is never clearly defined, it can be assumed that Khaled means naysayers of any kind. They don’t want you to be successful, which is exactly when you should ignore them.

4. Celebrate Success

You just worked hard on that Statistics test, and surprisingly, you came out with a B! It’s okay to celebrate! DJ Khaled does this with Apple Ciroc, but apple juice works just fine for me.

5. Pamper Yourself

Whether it’s getting a new haircut, or a massage. Go all out, spoil yourself sometimes.

6. Don’t Ever Play Yourself

Don’t set yourself up for failure! You stayed up all night watching Cardi B videos on YouTube, even though you knew you had a Spanish test in the morning. You played yourself!

7. Set New Goals The best way to be successful in life is to know what you want, and to plan to get it. There’s always room for improvement, and by setting goals you’re building yourself up that much more! #BlessUp
