The human mind is a beautiful thing, with endless capabilities for imagination and creativity. Yet, there is also plenty of space for worries and stress to flood in, which can leave you feeling overwhelmed.

In times like this, it is important to know how to put your mind at ease:

1. Paint your nails

The simple act of applying polish to your nails will force you to focus on one thing. During this time, you will not be able to give attention to all the worries that plague your mind. When you are done, use the time it takes for your nails to dry to collect your thoughts. If you are falling behind on your workload, prioritize what must get done first, and get started from there.

2. Take a shower

When you reach the point of having a headache from all your worrying, the best cure is to hop in the shower. The hot water will diminish your pain, and you will come out feeling refreshed and ready to tackle any obstacles that come your way.

3. Organize your space

The environment, which you are operating in, is a reflection of your state of mind. If your room or office is very cluttered, it is important to take the time to organize. Having everything in place is visually pleasing, and it will put you in a calmer state of mind.

4. Watch an episode of a show you love

When you are struggling to stop thinking about something, you need a good distraction to engage your mind. There is no better diversion than watching an episode of a show that makes you laugh.
