Halloween, arguably one of the greatest things about fall, is an exciting holiday to get in the spirit for! Whether you like trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins or just the fact that your favorite latte is back in season, these five classic Halloween films are certain to have u eager for October 31st…

Halloweentown

A Disney Channel original, this movie was originally released in 1998. However, it has since been followed by three sequels. Whether it’s the original or the popular sequel released in 2004 known as Halloweentown High that you’re interested in, you can’t go wrong with any of these movies!

Hocus Pocus

Another Disney Channel classic, Hocus Pocus tells the story of the three teenagers who find themselves in trouble when they release the coven of three witches when exploring an abandoned house in which the witches used to live. They must now figure out how to undo their mistake to keep the witches from becoming immortal!

Twitches and Twitches Too

One of the best twin duos, Tia and Tamera Mowry, team up for this Disney film that was released in 2005 and followed by a sequel in 2007. It tells the story of two twins, Alexandra and Camryn, who were born on the night of Halloween in a magical world known as Coventry. They are separated at birth when taken to another dimension, Earth, to be saved from the Darkness in their world. However, the Darkness is what will reunite them on their 21st birthday when they return to fight it.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Although it bears a misleading title, this film is also recognized as a Halloween classic. Halloweentown is a town that purely revolves around Halloween and the Pumpkin King leader, Jack Skellington. However, when Jack discovers Christmas out of boredom and curiosity he will do some devious things to bring it back to Halloweentown. Naturally, this doesn’t settle well with everyone!

Halloween

This simply named film is likely to be the creepiest of them all! It’s Halloween night in 1963 and a 6 year old Michael Myers dressed as a clown murders his older sister with a kitchen knife. He is sent away, but now 15 years later he will appear before a court to determine his fate. However, in the process he escapes and returns home to continue the killing spree he started as a child and no one is safe!
