An Ode to the Original Two Story Coffee Shop

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

Tucked back on the small streets of Athens is a little coffee shop called Two Story. This spunky, quirky and most importantly original little house has become a favorite study spots for students. On any finals or midterm week, it is packed with kids too hyped-up on caffeine to pay any attention to the great character of the house that they sit in. For years this house has stood proud as a location of fellowship between friends and splendid hot beverages.

Within the past few months, there has become a wave of events to occur at this little shop. The greatest of which is the fact that this signature house will no longer hold its signature coffee shop. Two Story Coffee Shop will no longer be located in Five Points. The lease has expired and instead of allowing the owner to resign, the landlord has decided to go in a different direction as far as further cliental.

This is yet another example of a small business in Athens that is being turned down from its lease and being asked to relocate. It seems that more and more, the little charms of Athens are slowly withering away as business are looking to earn more money.

The coffee shop is not sure of where it will go next, but they will not be closing their doors for good. As of right now Two Story is determined to find another location to open business at, however, that location is to be determined.

If you have yet to visit this little slice of caffeinated heaven, you have missed out on one of the little gems of Athens. Once the house is converted into something else, there is no way that it can have as much charm as it currently holds.
