Fall Things to “Fall” in Love with Immediately

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

So if you haven’t checked the weather yet recently, fall has finally come, and with it comes a slew of holidays and fall activities to participate in. Here are five fall activities you can do this season!

Go to a pumpkin patch.

A lot of people do this already, and here’s why. Pumpkins are super fun to pick, and the photos are always insta-worthy. Picking a pumpkin just gets people in the mood for fall.

Go to a fall festival.

Whether local or one you have to travel to, a fall festival is super fun. There’s always lots of cool vendors, fun activities for kids, fried fair foods to try (that you’ll probably regret afterward), and pretty leaves to stomp through as you go to each vendor.

Snuggle up with a book and have some hot cocoa.

When you have a break, take a second to relax with a good book. When it gets colder outside, use the opportunity to grab a blanket and maybe a cup of hot chocolate or PSL. You won’t regret it, and it’s super relaxing, I promise.

Treat yourself to fall clothing.

Maybe it’s time to update your closet. Pull in all your sweaters and jeans, and maybe even shop for some more. Isn’t that the perfect excuse to go scrolling through Amazon? Shopping therapy? Check. Even this dog agrees.

Finally, jump into a pile of leaves.

It’s stereotypical and for a good reason—it’s really fun! Jumping into a pile of bright, colorful leaves is a quintessential fall activity and needs to happen ASAP if you haven’t done so already. Follow this good boy if you need some advice in the best technique. Look at him fly!

That’s all the fall activities I have! Who’s ready to jump into fall with them?
