The End-of-the-Semester Slump: 7 Things More Appealing than Homework

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

It’s that glorious time of the semester again. That lull right before finals –the calm before the storm, so to speak. It’s when the shorts and tank tops come out of the closet and your textbooks get shoved in. There are only a few weeks left of the semester, right?

So this is our collective mentality: I should probably do homework. But going to the pool sounds like so much fun! You know what? I’ve worked hard this semester. I deserve a break! There’s only a few weeks left of the semester and my grades are… well that doesn’t matter. I’ve got time to fix it. The pool it is!

So in honor of this unanimous schlump we’re all feeling at this point in the semester, we’ve compiled a list of 7 things that are more appealing than homework.

1. Becoming a professional Netflix binge-watcher

2. Rocking out to embarrassing 90s music in your room

3. Giving your entire apartment/house a cleansing that it’s never seen before

4. Developing a meaningful and beautiful relationship with pizza

5. Ditching the pants à la Tom Cruise in Risky Business

6. The one time exercise is actually the more fun option

7. Naptime is an all day affair

Unfortunately for all of us, this time of rest and relaxation will come to a violent halt when we realize that we do not, in fact, have all the time in the world to raise our grades. So enjoy the slump while it lasts, collegiettes! Because, come finals, we’ll all be like this:

Happy finals!
