5 Trends That You Can Rock on Campus This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

Finally, the air is getting cooler and the leaves are changing colors. Even from miles away, you can almost hear Starbucks pouring hot cups of Pumpkin Spice Lattes for the eager college students with scarves around their necks and mittens on their hands. As the season returns, you begin to wonder, “How ever shall I dress for this momentous occasion?” Don’t worry, we know just the trends you’re looking for.

1. Oversized Sweaters

Big comfy sweaters are the perfect way to look cute and stay warm doing it. Pair these sweaters with leggings or jeans for a more casual outfit for class or with a skirt or dress for fancier events. Even try patterned sweaters for a fun unique twist to this classic idea.

2. Ankle Booties

Brown, black, or gray booties can go great with any fall outfit. They’re a cute, comfortable way to get around campus or to go out after a long week of studying. Try them will a small heel or maybe even some fringe to add some edge to this look.

3. Blanket Scarves

Blanket scarves are the newest way to stay warm in the cold weather this season. They’re cute, comfortable, and oh so soft. And, of course, plaid gives a fun, autumn feel to any outfit.

4. Puffer Vests

Puffer vests are a preppy way to dress up any long sleeved shirt or light sweater. Also, try pairing vests with stripes or plaids to play with patterns a little. With jeans, you’ll have an outfit complete for a coffee run.

5. Casual Dresses

Make your dresses fall appropriate with tights, boots, and a comfy cardigan. Maybe even throw on a light scarf for a little extra warmth during those cooler fall days.

The days of trudging into class in your old, worn out hoodie and sweatpants are no more! With these looks, you’ll be showing up in style all season long.
