The spooky season is full of opportunities to get creative and make some Pinterest worthy treats. Whether you are a master chef or just a beginner, there are all different types of treats out there to try.

1. Apple Anything

When we think of fall, our minds typically go straight to foods that have apples in them. Foods and drinks such as apple cider, apple butter, apple pie or apple sauce are some snacks that we all love to enjoy. If you’ve really got a sweet tooth, candy apples are also fun to enjoy and can be covered in a variety of different things such as M&M’s, chocolate and nuts. Here you’ll find an easy-to-follow recipe that allows for a lot of variety in toppings for your candy apples!

2. Candy Corn

Candy corn is a fall staple that can be found in my pantry at just about any time during the month of October. Surprisingly, they date all the way back to the 1880’s. These are one of the many sweet treats that require no preparation. You can just dump them into a bowl and get straight to enjoying them. To keep you enjoying this treat all season long, they even come in candy pumpkins. They can also be used for inspiration for other treats such as candy corn rice crispy treats and candy corn jelly.

3. S’mores

When one thinks of fall nights, we automatically think of sitting around a campfire toasting our marshmallows surrounded by our best friends. This is a carefree time where we feel like anything is possible. If building a fire is more than you’re willing to take on, there are other variations of s’mores that can easily be made inside. To make s’mores pretzel bites, you only need chocolate, pretzels and marshmallows. Here you’ll find an easy-to-follow recipe that’ll have you making s’mores in no time.

4. Reese’s Recipes

Reese’s has a variety of different recipes you can try utilizing the classic peanut butter cup. If you love that peanut butter taste, these are the treats for you. Here is a link to make adorable Reese’s bats. If you’re feeling up to more of a challenge, you can make other treats using Reese’s cups such as Reese’s nut brittle cookie bars, peanut butter and milk chocolate chip brownie bars or Reese’s Pieces peanut butter cookies

5. Pumpkin

You’ve got some classics included here such as pumpkin pie and the pumpkin spice latte. However, there are some pumpkin variations that are worthy of trying. Trader Joe’s offers practically every pumpkin product you can think of from pumpkin waffles to pumpkin bread. Here is a recipe for pumpkin croissants. If you need your pumpkin spice latte fill, you can use pumpkin spice K-Cups.

Happy baking! Hopefully your treats won’t be as spooky as the season.
