Why You Needed to Shop This L.A. Beauty Brand Like, Yesterday

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Let me do you a favor by introducing you to my new favorite makeup brand: ColourPop. If you’re already obsessed, that’s great. If you’re not, I apologize in advance. No, this brand is not new, but it is underestimated. Why? Because they offer drugstore prices for high quality products.

ColourPop was founded in 2014 in Los Angeles and has been dedicated to offering in-trend makeup products for all skin tones without breaking the bank or testing on animals. I had always heard about the brand but never really cared to give it a try until the matte lipstick trend took over. I refused to spend $30-something on each Kylie Lip Kit, so I decided to give ColourPop a shot. I was able to purchase six lipsticks and an eyeshadow palette for under $30 – free gift and shipping included!

I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant to buy makeup products from an online-only store, but I was really impressed. All of their products are highly pigmented and have smooth formulas. I even got a compliment on the street from wearing one of the lipsticks!

The good news is that they just launched a preview collection on Sephora.com and select stores but hopefully plan on having a full display in the months to come. In the meantime, load up those shopping carts and do a little early holiday shopping! They offer tons of products in a bundle that would make a perfect gift for that makeup-obsessed person in your life!

Right now, upon arriving to their site, you get a pop-up offering $5 off your first order with a purchase of $10 or more just by signing up to their newsletter. Check them out here!
