What Your Go-To Fall Starbucks Drink Says About You

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

When fall rolls around, it seems everyone has a go-to Starbucks drink. Though Instagram suggests otherwise, there are more drinks than just the #PSL during the fall season. We all have our faves. Read below to see what your drink says about you!

Pumpkin Spice Latte

We have to start off with the big one: the PSL.

If you are a pumpkin spice kind of person, you probably have been planning for their return for months. You ordered a chunky sweater that would look great in the Instagram pic you are posting once you get your first PSL of the season. Your friends say you’re basic, but that’s okay. You love a PSL, hot or iced, rain or shine. You probably have planned a strategic photoshoot in a pumpkin patch to up your social media game. The leaves may not be changing, but your Instagram aesthetic is. So go on, you do you, girl. Get your PSL while you still can.

Salted Caramel Mocha

If you opt for the new salted caramel mocha, you probably did it in spite of the PSLs of the world. You are probably best friends with someone who is a PSL girl. You love an understated fall celebration. You prefer a cozy night in, binge-watching all the Halloweentown movies and probably own at least four turtleneck sweaters. So trick or treat yourself to this sweet coffee, and extend an invitation to your PSL friend to join your toned down fall get-together.

Maple Pecan Crème Frappuccino

Personal opinions aside, if your go-to drink is a Frappuccino, you probably want to partake in the Starbucks trip for friendship. You haven’t quite jumped on the coffee bandwagon yet. Needless to say, you love a good Snapchat of you and your friends at your local Starbucks and can’t wait to boomerang your Maple Pecan Crème Frappuccino. You’ve also probably already gotten your Halloween costume ready three weeks in advance. You have been waiting for Halloween to come around because of the candy and the parties. Sip, sip, hooray for fall!

Iced Coffee

You are tried and true if you still order an iced coffee when fall rolls around. You don’t need to buy into the hype of new fall drinks. You have everything you need in a venti, extra ice, 3 pumps of vanilla iced coffee, thank you very much. You may show up to a pumpkin carving party, or you might have already set yourself in Christmas mode. You’ll probably decide on a Halloween costume two hours before the party starts. Regardless, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. An iced coffee is there for you through all the seasons.

Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

Cold brew is like the mountain dew of the coffee drinks. You need all the energy you can get during fall. Between midterms, planning the perfect Halloween costume(s) and making time to bake those little pumpkin “place-and-bake” cookies, your planner is filling up. Cold brew helps you accomplish that fall bucket list that you pinned on Pinterest two months ago. You have the caffeine jitters constantly, so you barely notice when your hands shake during a scary movie marathon. So, drink up, and get to work!

Chai Latte

Chai latte people are the most reserved. They don’t need coffee to amp up their fall festivities. They’re happy curling up with a good book or a spooky movie. They also have bought at least five fall-scented candles at Bath & Body Works and plan on using them well after fall is over. They love to nap and are the chill friend. Everyone wonders how they have their life together. You might catch them slipping in a shot of espresso into their chai from time to time, but who can blame them?

No matter your drink order, I think we can all agree Starbucks puts us in a fall mood!
