UFashion: Understatements are the Biggest Statement

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

This spring, nudes are in. Pretty, wearable shades in neutral flesh tones are showing up on the runway, in department stores and now, you can have them in your room!

I’m showcasing a neutral trend bigger than nude heels: nude nails. Shades of soft beige, pale pink and milky white mimic the looks of the natural tones that were seen at many spring fashion shows.

Neutral tones are a welcomed change from the previous seasons of bold colors and dark polishes. The minimalist nail color complements every outfit and adds an air of refinement to your overall look.

I love three things about this spring trend: it’s inexpensive, goes with every skin tone and looks great on short nails. The ideal shade to go with is a shade close to your skin tone with a beige undertone.

My recommendations:
Light skin: OPI Nail Polish in Country Khaki

Olive skin: Dior Vernis in Nude Chic

Dark skin: OPI Nail Polish in Chocolate Mousse
