Online shopping just got a little easier this semester thanks to an online social marketplace expanding to UF. This week, I wanted to talk about one of my newest (and favorite) websites for shopping: Modabound.com. Modabound makes it easy for you to buy and sell unworn or gently used fashion items with your fellow Gator girls!

How exactly does this website work? If you want to sell your clothes, all you have to do is upload a picture of the specific piece you no longer want and set a price. Then, other students can check it out on the website. When someone is interested in buying the item, you will get a direct message from Modabound to let you know who’s interested. From there, you can agree on a time and place to meet so the person interested can make his or her purchase. You can just as easily buy items from other girls by virtually browsing through their closets to see what they are selling.

I’ve personally used this website, and I can tell you it’s one of the easiest ways to shop — especially if you’re on a budget and just want to clean out your closet. It only took me a few minutes to upload my pictures and price my pieces for other girls to buy. I’ve also been able to find really cute brand-name clothes for quite cheap!

The really cool thing about Modabound is that you get the chance to meet other fashionable Gator girls around you in an effort to help each other keep on looking great and fashion savvy throughout the semester since it allows purchases to take place in person.
