The Target Experience: Spring Must-Haves!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Spring has finally sprung! Despite the cold weather that has been present in most places, it’s starting to feel a lot like springtime! That means we can break out the pastels, bathing suits, sandals, floppy hats, and basically anything that makes you wish it were summer break already! Here is a spring survival kit comprised of items I found (where else?) at Target that will take you all the way through summer:

Bathing Suits
This bathing suit is a basic navy set with white polka dots and a removable strap. This would be a super cute addition to any bathing suit collection for this spring! It can be worn together or paired with solid bottoms or tops to add interest! Although this suit is retro-inspired, it is still very modern. It’s a great basic color combination, so it can be worn with a lot! This is such a cute and classic suit; it can be worn for many spring seasons.

Lightweight Scarves
Lightweight scarves made out of thin gauzy material are great for dressing up spring outfits. They can add a pop of color to an otherwise simple outfit like jeans and a white top or a solid colored sundress. They are also great in making a daytime look into nighttime without completely changing your outfit!

Patterned Raincoat
Although this piece is very bold, it is a great fun addition to build a spring wardrobe around. In Florida, having a rain jacket is practically a necessity, so why not make a fashion statement? This is another great way to amp up a simple outfit. The colors are what make it so spring-season friendly! This jacket will not only be great during the spring, but also into the summer. As they say, April showers bring May flowers. You will truly be bringing the flowers a little early with this rain jacket!

Hopefully these spring pick-me-ups won’t make losing a precious hour of sleep so bad… Happy Spring, y’all!
