– Evacuations for nearly 200,000 people continued in Northern California as wildfires spreading with the Santa Ana winds sweep the state. 

Tuesday, October 29: 

– Army Colonel Alexander Vindman testified in the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. 

– Boeing CEO, Dennis Muilenburg was confronted on Capitol Hill regarding the 737 Max. 

Wednesday, October 30: 

– California wildfires with hurricane-force winds threatened the Reagan Presidential Library.  

– John Bolton, Trump’s former national security adviser, was called to testify at the impeachment inquiry. 

Thursday, October 31: 

– Democratic Congresswoman Katie Hill resigned after accusations of an affair with a staffer, citing double standards in a speech to Congress.

Friday, November 1:

– Lori Loughlin and her husband plead not guilty to new charges filed against them in the college admissions scandal. 

– Beto O’Rourke dropped out of the 2020 presidential race

Saturday, November 2: 

– Unauthorized drones flying in airspace used by first responders posed a problem for Ventura firefighters.

– McDonald’s C.E.O Steve Easterbrook was fired after a relationship with an employee, which violated company policy. 

– A salmonella outbreak linked to ground beef in multiple states left one person dead and 10 sick.

– A 101-year-old shipwreck on Niagara Falls was knocked loose by a storm.
