Monday, September 23: 

– President Donald Trump’s call to the Ukraine made headlines after a whistleblower complaint. Impeachment talks became big news in Washington, D.C. 

– The Emmy Awards brought big victories for Game of Thrones.

Tuesday, September 24: 

– Democratic members of Congress, led by Pelosi, decided to move forward with an impeachment inquiry for Trump’s call to the Ukraine. 

– More than 20 world leaders, including Trump, spoke at the Opening General Assembly for the United Nations in New York. 

– Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders announced his plans to tax the wealth of the richest Americans.

Wednesday, September 25: 

– The White House released the transcript of Trump’s call with Ukraine. 

Juul’s CEO stepped down amid public concerns over teen vaping.

Thursday, September 26: 

– Amazon pledged to be carbon-neutral by 2040.

– Scientists from around the world are planning an expedition to the Arctic Circle to study climate change. 

Friday, September 27:

– Continuing with their impeachment inquiry, House Democrats issued a subpoena for documents from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Saturday, September 28:

– The U.S and China trade war is escalating as both countries compete to create AI robot technology

Sunday, September 29: 

– It was announced that the whistleblower will testify behind closed doors.
