#ManCrushMonday: The Men of The Vampire Diaries

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

For the six seasons that The Vampire Diaries has been on air, there’s never been a shortage of hot guys. They fill a variety of mystical-related fantasies, too. There are vampires, werewolves, hybrids, doppelgangers, hunters, ghosts, witches and many more. Personally, I lean more toward the vampire-werewolf hybrids, but there’s a guy for everyone in this show. I already introduced you to Ian Somerhalder a few weeks ago, but there are so many more men to see. Shall we begin? Here’s why the male actors of The Vampire Diaries are our #ManCrushMonday:

Let’s get this former #MCM out of the way. Hello again, Ian.

But have you met his brother Stefan, played by the ever-so-lovely Paul Wesley? You can see the similarities because they’re both shirtless, obviously.

Here’s the resident youngster, Jeremy, played by Steven R. McQueen. He’s always getting killed, always coming back to life and always looking good.

If dark and wolfy is more your thing, why not try out Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood? Wolfy because he’s a werewolf. Get it?

Zach Roerig plays Matt—basically just a human blood bag for the vampires to use for their enjoyment. Seriously, does he even have a purpose on the show anymore?

Hot teacher by day, hot vampire hunter by night. Matt Davis as Alaric, ladies and gentlemen.

Now it’s time for the British section! Like a nice glass of Scotch on the rocks, Daniel Gillies is extremely classy.

The original vampire-werewolf hybrid and my favorite man on this show—Joseph Morgan. I’m sorry but you can’t have him; I called dibs.

Just another sexy British vampire. Nothing to get too excited over.

This show has no shortage of hot British men. Meet Enzo, a sassy and cute vampire played by Michael Malarkey.

What would we do without these men?
