It may be the beginning of February, but one can never plan too early for a college spring break regardless of whether or not you’re a first-year or you’re a senior. Here are a few of the hottest places to go this spring where you can catch up on your tan, meet some new friends and make fantastic memories!
Cancun, Mexico
Want to get on that tropical getaway you’ve always wanted? Go out of the country and head to what critics call the ‘Las Vegas’ of Mexico; Cancun! Hotels in Cancun are more than just where traveling students sleep; it’s where they party. You’ll also find excursions such as bungee jumping, snorkeling and other scenic adventures available for you and your friends to enjoy. Like most spring break locations, celebrities will be present. In the past Brody Jenner, Akon, and Steve-O have graced the coast with their presence and enjoyed a day of fun in the sun at the beautiful beaches.
Panama City Beach, Florida
When most college students think of spring break without leaving the country, they think of PCB. A majority of the nightclubs, hotels and activities are 18+ friendly! Two of them are actually two of the largest clubs in the United States: Club Spinnaker and Club La Vela. Chances are you will probably see some of the hottest faces in the entertainment world as Panama City’s day parties are the most well-known stateside. Last year, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was seen at one of the pool parties as well as multiple performers.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Over 21? Las Vegas would be a perfect place to go for the drinking-age crowd. Especially if your birthday just so happens to fall during spring break! Get a group of friends together and travel out west where you may even catch a few celebrities partying it up; MTV’s Spring Break takes place there as well. You can’t go to Sin City without hitting up Fremont Street, full of casinos and nightclubs; don’t forget to try the zip line! Then soak up the desert sun at The Palms day-pool parties. Just remember, what happens in Vegas… stays in Vegas.
Want to be unique? Go for the winter option and see some snow. Ski resorts are booming with business during the spring break season each year!
Crested Butte, Colorado
For a laidback and relaxing spring break you will definitely want to check out Crested Butte, Colorado; it is considered one of the most college-friendly ski resorts in the area. It not only has a 3,000-ft drop and other amazing attractions, but it is also snowboard friendly. Plus, the town has some amazing nightlife for the younger crowd as well as a ton of events and activities specifically for spring breakers like you! What are you waiting for? Hit the slopes!
Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia, Canada
Now we may not hear much about Canada on an everyday basis, but we do know a few things… Whistler Blackcomb has some of the most amazing pipes and parks in the country and they also host the spring ski and snowboard festival. This means great snow, wonderful people, and fun times with your friends. It’s the perfect setting for collegiate like you; not to mention the drinking age just so happens to be younger than it is in the states.
Have a fun and safe spring break!
