How to Master a Daytime Halloween Look

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Want to show your Halloween spirit in class or at work, but don’t want to go all out or feel out of place? Don’t worry — I have just the solution for you. Here are some simple tips and tricks for showing your Halloween excitement during the day without going overboard:

For just a touch of Halloween, it seems obvious: wearing black and orange. But make it look tasteful and cute, not tacky. Rather than wearing ridiculous black and orange clothing that screams Halloween, start with just some simple details. I recommend pairing your favorite black top with a chunky orange necklace, bracelet or earrings. Don’t have any orange jewelry? Switch it up by wearing an orange top or dress with a black necklace.

Not much of a jewelry person? That’s OK! There are plenty of other ways to accessorize your Halloween look without embellishment. Try an orange waist belt on a black dress, or spruce up your black top and jeans with an orange scarf.

Go a step further by painting your nails with some Halloween inspiration. Whether you simply paint them black and/or orange, or get creative and paint them to look like candy corns, you’ll definitely be adding some extra Halloween flair.

Mix and match any of these simple tips, and you’ll look ready for Halloween – but in a simple, yet obvious way. Have a Happy Halloween, HC UFL readers!
