Her Campus: What is your position on campus?

Samantha Netkin: “I’m the Greater Gator Conference Team Leader.”

HC: How did you get involved with the Greater Gator Conference?

SN: “I got an email about applications for GGC team leaders and just decided to fill one out. After I went in for an interview I really liked the whole idea of the conference, as well as the people involved, and luckily I was offered the position!”

HC: What is your favorite part of being involved with the conference?

SN: “The conference will be an amazing way to inspire first-year Gators to engage as leaders within the UF community. I am excited to contribute to others’ positive experiences at UF.”

HC: What other things are you involved in on campus?

SN: “I am a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon.”

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

SN: “In 10 years, I will hopefully have moved up to a senior-level position in a company that I am passionate about. I’ll definitely be living in New York with my family since that’s where I grew up.”

HC: What is your dream job?

SN:My dream job would be to work as a PR or marketing director in a digital media company that is fashion and pop culture oriented.”

HC: What are your hobbies?

SN: “I love reading magazines and watching the Food Network. I’m a huge foodie so trying new restaurants is always something I’m excited to do.”

HC: Who is your role model?

SN: “My role model is my mom because she always knows the right thing to say. Her advice and guidance have given me so much strength. My dad is also my role model because his driven work ethic inspires me every day.”

HC: What advice would you give to new students?

SN: “Take advantage of all the involvement opportunities at UF. There are so many amazing organizations and you have the chance to start in a small position and work your way up.”

HC: What is your favorite memory at UF so far?

SN: “My favorite memories at UF are gamedays. There is such an amazing sense of school spirit here and I love being a part of it.”
