Getting Through the Mid-Semester Slump with the #HCSurvivalKits

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Every semester, all Her Campus chapters are #blessed with boxes full of goodies from our sponsors that are aimed at helping us get through the semester in one piece. This can be quite the feat—especially if you have an addiction to Midtown’s ever so tempting Ladies’ Night Wednesdays or if you’re enrolled in a tough class like Reporting or Organic Chemistry. But these awesome products always seem to come in handy at just the right time. And for that, we thank you, sponsors. You guys are the real MVPs.

At the start of this semester, we were sent ~two~ boxes full of products, and we want to share what makes them so great. Even though these were sent as part of our Back-to-School Survival Kit, they can be used at any time of the semester to get your through the stress and struggles that may come your way. Bring it on, Fall semester!

1. When you need to satisfy that sweet tooth: Zing Stevia SweetenerTired of paying $3 or more for the same old latte at Starbucks? Try making your own coffee at home and sweetening it with Stevia’s zero-calorie sweetener. Don’t be afraid to wade into the waters of sugar alternatives, collegiettes. This one has no artificial ingredients, so you’re only consuming the good stuff — none of that Sweet’N Low nastiness.

2. When you need a creative outlet: My Social CanvasMy Social Canvas is a platform for collegiettes everywhere to unleash their inner creativity.  If you’re interested in art or fashion, you can use this site to partake in the design process for apparel and lifestyle products that are ultimately sold on the website. When you need a study break or online shopping fix, browse the online store to discover some adorable shirts and tote bags.

3. When you need a study break: Martha Stewart CraftsThe ultimate study breaks involve arts and crafts — this totally takes your mind off the books and allows you to escape into a world of paints and glitter. If you have that Pinterest craft project you’ve been obsessing over, stock up on some Martha Stewart Crafts supplies and get your craft on, ladies!

4. When you’re looking for cute wall decorations: The Her Campus StoreNothing brightens up a stuffy dorm room like some spirited décor. And what better way to decorate than with some Her Campus swag? We luckily received some adorable (and exclusive!) HC pennants in our Survival Kits, but you can find more HC posters and décor in the Her Campus online store.

5. When you need to grab a quick bite to eat: Chipotle BOGO cardsBoy, oh boy are we #blessed that Chipotle is one of our national sponsors! Sure, the line at the Chipotle on University Ave. can be a little hectic, but it sure is worth it when you get your hands on a chicken burrito bowl with that yummy cilantro lime rice. And with one of these BOGO cards, you and your friend can go together and split the side of guacamole without feeling guilty for splurging.

6. When you want to change up your makeup routine: NYC Eyeshadow SticksWhen you’re trapped in the same corner of Library West for a week straight and you’ve been wearing the same sweatpants for four days, sometimes you just need a little pick-me-up. Changing up your makeup routine can be just what the doctor ordered. Try out New York Color’s new chubby eyeshadow sticks to add a glam touch to your life (and to distract from those bags under your eyes!).

7. When you’re having yet another bad hair day: TRESemmé Sea Salt SprayWhy stop with just sprucing up your makeup routine? Take that hair out of your usual messy bun and try keeping it natural yet tamed. I’m currently obsessing over TRESemmé’s sea salt spray — it makes my wavy hair feel and smell beachy. What’s not to love about keeping those summer vibes around just a little while longer?

8. When you’re tired of your same old backpack: MZ Wallace Tote BagsSometimes we just get sick of the same JanSport we’ve been using since freshman year. If this is the case for you right now, be sure to check out MZ Wallace’s campus collection. It includes both backpacks and tote bags that are the perfect size for storing your books, laptop, wallet and snacks for those all-nighters at Marston Science Library.

The mid-semester slump is in full effect here in Gainesville. Lucky for the ladies of Her Campus UFL, we’ve gotten a shipment of these awesome and helpful products to get us through. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page for announcements about on-campus events where we’ll be raffling off some of these goodies!
