This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Doritos–loved by all, even down to the very last cheese-covered finger. But have you ever thought of eating them a different way? Why not incorporate Doritos into our diet even more than we already do? Here are five recipes that use Doritos in ways you’ve never dreamed of – but certainly will after reading these ingenious recipes.

1. Dorito-Crusted Chicken

This is one of the easiest chicken crust recipes you’ll ever do. Simply crush up your Doritos, pour them into a shallow dish, coat your chicken tenders (or nuggets) in mayonnaise, then dip them in the Dorito dust. Bake for the specified time and voila!

2. Dorito Onion Rings

So similar to the Dorito-crusted Chicken, and yet so different. This recipe is for the onion ring lovers who want to mix it up. Making your own onion rings may have always seemed like a hassle, but with this oven-baked recipe, you’ll have delicious onion rings, a splash of Dorito and no hassle whatsoever.

3. Dorito Taco Salad

An ordinary salad may not sound appetizing. Chipotle? Yes. Doritos? Yes. So why not combine the two in a healthy, delicious taco salad (with the zest of Doritos as a topping)? Who would have thought you could combine a bag of Doritos and a bag of lettuce?

4. Mexican Dorito Casserole

This one might not sound like the most appetizing, but just imagine your favorite Mexican dish made into a casserole, with cheesy, tangy Doritos added! The crunch of the chip makes the dish something unexpectedly delicious.

5. Dorito-Crusted Cheese Sticks

Mozzarella sticks couldn’t get more delicious…until now. Dorito crusted mozzarella sticks are the future of your junk food indulgences. Easy to make and bake, this recipe will fill a craving you never knew you had.

Next time you’re craving the cheesy goodness of our favorite study snack, head to one of these recipes and fill that craving another way. What’s not to love about crunchy cheese chips in your salad or covering your chicken tenders with delicious orange dust?
