I don’t know about you collegiettes, but dark colors are my absolute favorite. My closet is completely and utterly filled with dark-colored clothes, which becomes a serious issue in the springtime when bright colors come back into style. It’s this affinity for dark colors that made me so happy to have come across Sierra Szkrybalo, whose keen sense of style allowed her to create the perfect spring outfit with dark fall colors. Where is your outfit from? “My crop top is from H&M, my skirt is from Forever 21, and my sandals are from Macy’s. My bag is from New York & Company, my necklace and rings are from Francesca’s, and my watch is a_line.”
What do you look for when it comes to fashion? “My kind of fashion is really anything that makes me feel good about myself. Easiness is also a big plus, so I keep a lot of pieces on hand that can all go together in case I just need to throw something on and go.”
What’s your biggest advice to fashionistas? “My biggest advice to fashionistas is shop sales and out of season. I’m actually from Connecticut, so I go home in the fall and buy up all the summer clothes I can for super cheap because I can keep wearing them down here.”
Where do you like to shop? “I enjoy shopping at Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe because they have so many options and are relatively inexpensive. When I can splurge on myself, I tend to go for Urban Outfitters.”
What are your favorite trends right now? “My favorite trend right now is definitely high-waisted skirts. I love how they look and how versatile they can be.”
What are you currently obsessing about in your closet? “I actually just picked up this oversized knit sweater from H&M for real cheap that is crazy cute and comfy and it’s the best.”
