Collegiettes, it’s that time of year again: midterm season. Have the endless hours of studying in the library got you down? I have the perfect DIY for you to boost your spirits and let you blow off some steam. This week, I made an inspirational mirror quote, and you can too!
Supplies:
First, you’re going to need to pick your favorite inspirational quote. You can easily search for one online or go with a classic like the one I have chosen. I picked up an 8-inch by 8-inch square mirror, since my quote is shorter. If you choose a longer quote, go with a bigger size.
Next, pick out some stickers in a cool font that will go well with your quote. I chose a more script-looking font because I wanted mine to look classy. Bold, block fonts would go better with a silly or cute quote. I bought two different sets of stickers because I wanted some words to stand out within my quote.
Finally, I used a ruler to place the stickers on the mirror in a straight line and evenly spaced the letters. I made sure to press them down all the way, so that there were no bubbles or space underneath. Then, I took black spray paint and coated the entire mirror. I chose black because I was sticking with a theme, but if you choose a sillier quote, a fun, brighter color might be better a better fit.
After letting it dry, I peeled off the stickers to reveal an awesome DIY project. Now, when I’m having a bad day, I have a great reminder that hangs on my wall: “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game”!
P.S. This project is not supposed to be a form of procrastination for studying for midterms! Good luck!
Happy Crafting!
