Confessions of an (Online) Shopaholic

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

I got my start in online shopping pretty early in life. My first online purchase I can remember dates all the way back to 4th grade when I ordered the Beauty and the Beast DVD for my mom (with the help of my Nana, of course). Since then, I’ve been hooked. These are my confessions as an (online) shopaholic.

There is nothing quite like when you’re offered free shipping, 20 percent off or $5 for signing up with your email

TFW you get paid and conveniently get an email from your favorite shop is too serendipitous

Sometimes your online orders don’t arrive exactly as anticipated…

…and sometimes they’re better than you could’ve hoped

When shopping online, you really get to be your true self

And there is nothing quite like the success of getting the last item in stock…

…and suffering the pain of losing the items in your basket so close to check out

Sometimes you have to remind yourself that you should not be shopping

But you’re constantly bombarded by stores promoting themselves

And there is an inexplicable joy in getting a gift with purchase

And, of course, when all your packages arrive in the mail.

With the holiday season coming up, it’s the perfect time to let your inner online shopaholic out.
