Impulse by Karl Lagerfeld
Macy’s collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, the designer responsible for the beautiful Chanel pieces you gawk at every season, has the perfect items for your fall wardrobe. While the collection may be on the pricier side — the dresses and shirts run around $100 — the collaboration is still a great chance to snag some of Lagerfeld’s designs without breaking the bank on Chanel or Fendi. The business casual dresses are perfect for interviews or the office, and the dressier looks are ideal for dinner dates or going out on the town. Also, the T-shirts with Lagerfeld on them are almost too cool. The collection has key pieces like faux leather shorts (a must for fall) and tweed jackets that will get you through winter looking chic and staying warm. The collection will only run at Macy’s for a limited time, so get it while you can.
Missoni for Target
Target’s newest designer collaboration will go down in history as the collection that crashed the store’s website only a few hours after going live. Missoni for Target is the largest designer collaboration to date and features around 400 items ranging from cups to rugs, dresses to rain boots and bedding to makeup bags, all of which sport the iconic bold, bright prints that made Missoni famous and loved. If you weren’t one of the lucky ones who managed to have their pick of the collection when the store debuted the pieces, you can still purchase some of the home goods, because some Targets will be getting more shipments throughout the week. However, if you’re dying for that sleeveless, printed sweater dress or the zigzag flats, you could always try eBay, but beware of the people who are selling the merchandise for triple the price.
Alexa Chung for Madewell
A year ago, Alexa Chung’s first Madewell collection set the fashion world ablaze, and now she’s back to do it again. The British model and television presenter’s second collaboration with Madewell will hit the Internet and stores Sept. 22. From the looks of the previews, the collection will once again channel Chung’s effortless, cool-girl look and feature items like knit sweaters, collared shirts, patterned pants, some to-die-for outerwear and mini-dresses that might become your go-to look for fall. Due to the success of Chung’s first collaboration, it’s best to grab the things you want quickly, because they will likely sell fast.
